It's all about the Shoes

Much of my job as a stylist revolves around providing outfit ideas and offering advice on how to achieve wardrobe versatility.  When going through my clients wardrobes, I find that most have a great selection of clothing but lack the variety of shoes to transition their clothing into multiple outfits for multiple occasions.

What's the moral of this story?  The number one way to add versatility to your wardrobe is shoes!

Most women I meet love shoes, so please feel free to print out this post and carry it proudly in your bag as 'permission' to buy more shoes! (not that you needed any encouragement)!

My rule of thumb is that all clothes should be worn for at least three out of the four seasons, and for multiple events within those seasons.

Here's an example of how an elegant dress can be worn for more occasions that just the work Christmas dinner by simply changing the shoes ...

Dress - Saba

Elegant Evening - Novo, Casual Evening - Wittner, Everyday Casual -  Witchery, Cool Weather - Wittner

Love to wear jeans?  There is no reason why a simple jeans and top ensemble cannot be transformed for multiple occasions by simply changing your shoes ...

Jeans - Lee, Top - Seed

Elegant Evening - Witchery, Casual Evening - Country Road, Everyday Casual - Sportsgirl, Cool Weather - ASOS

Don't forget to add a great handbag and jewellery to complete your look.
