Fee Fi Faux Fum - Without The Blood Smell!

I recently bought a vintage faux fur gillet at the OP shop for $7 (*happy bargain dance*), so as soon as I got home I excitedly started going through my wardrobe for things to wear with it.


It's not the easiest of pieces to style, so I thought I'd share my favourite looks with you for inspiration.


I prefer faux fur gillets when worn in a casual, bohemian style.  These two looks are how I wear my gillet.  

  

Don't be afraid to layer a jacker under your gillet for a super cool winter layered look.

If scouring your local OP shops for a bargain is not your style, try these on for size ...

Faux fur gillets are extremely versatile, however if you are going to throw one over a t-shirt and jeans, think about your shoes and accessories so it doesn't look like an afterthought, or worse, like on of those padded vests that women of a certain age wear!   (If you are of a certain age and own one of those padded vests, I do apologise, however you must get rid of it immediately)!

Thank God we live in an age when we can be stylishly cruelty free!  
I am very pleased that my faux fur gillet looks completely fake.  Some of the styles I've seen are a little too real looking for my taste.
