One of the trends I adored on the recent Fall runways was the use of art print fabrics.
We have been seeing beautiful prints on the runway for a few seasons now, and although I do not wear a lot of prints, this latest round of delightful collections has inspired me to take the pretty printed plunge. I have even purchased some beautiful purple water colour fabric in readiness for my transformation into the Queen of Prints.
I like gentle watercolour designs but I think my heart favours animal or art images such as the owl print on the Jill Stuart dress above, and the outback scene on Karla Spetic dress below. Being a bit of a horse fanatic, I also love the Stallion pieces from Milk From a Thistle's autumn 2011 collection.
So inspired by these lovely prints, I set off on a quest to find local options. If you'd like a piece of wearable art, here are a few of my favourites. (Yes, I know Stella McCartney is not exactly local, but I just love the print and simply had to include it).
