One such event that I'm really looking forward to is Stonnington Fashion. This event begins with a fashion industry breakfast and what promises to be a spectacular fashion runway show the following evening.
And the best part ... everyone can go! Well, if you buy a ticket of course!
Stonnington Fashion's mission is to showcase established and emerging labels, retailers and designers within the city of Stonnington, which encompasses such shopping mecca's as Chapel Street, Toorak Village and High Street Malvern/Armadale.
The first event is a Fashion Industry Forum. You don't have to work in fashion to attend, and for the mere ticket price of $28, you can enjoy a light breakfast while you listen to a panel of industry big wigs talk all things fashion-y!
When: Wednesday 31st August 2011
Time: 7am - 9am
Where: Prahran Town Hall, 255 Chapel St, Prahran
Just tell the boss you have car trouble and get to work a little late this day! *not that I'm suggesting you lie to your boss ... wait, yes I am!

The following evening, is the Spring Fashion Runway. Everyone is welcome to this event. Tickets are just $35, so grab your girlfriends and make a night of it. The parade will include such labels as Alannah Hill, Alpha 60, Dhini, Gorman, Leona Edmiston, Lisa Ho, Lui Hon, Mimco and T.L Wood. Be sure to bring your notepad so you can jot down your shopping wish list during the show!

Each year Stonnington Fashion welcomes new members to their fashion hall of fame. This year's inductees are The Age fashion editor Janice Breen Burns and couturier Victoria Cascajo. To find out more about these two fashionable ladies, click here.
The hall of fame ceremony will take place during the spring fashion runway show and will show some fantastic vintage fashion on stage together with some curated emerging designers.
