Today I'm issuing you a challenge.
To wear 30 different outfits in 30 days.
Why? It's not to raise money, but to raise your awareness of the items in your wardrobe and force yourself to think outside your usual outfits and explore the possibilities.
Think you can do it? Of course you can!
When:
The challenge begins on Wednesday 1st February 2012 and ends at middnight 1st March 2012
The Rules:
- Each outfit must be a unique combination of base items. Base items include (but are not restricted to) jeans, pants, skirts, dresses, jackets, tops, shorts.
- You may wear individual pieces more than once, just not in the same combinations. (Adding a jacket, changing your shoes or accessories does not constitute a different outfit).
- You may wear 'free' items as often as you like - free items include leggings (but not worn as pants), footless tights, undergarments etc.
- You are allowed a total of 4 days 'off' during the challenge. If you choose to use your free days, they do not replace one of the 30 days, it simply means your challenge will run a little longer than 30 days. The reason for days 'off' is to remain as realistic as possible. After all, this challenge is meant to be fun, not hard work.
Now if you have LOADS of clothes and think this will be a piece of cake, here is an additional rule to up the anti ...
- You can wear each base item ONCE only in the 30 days
How to Get Involved:
This challenge does not require you to provide a pound of flesh, simply take the pledge in whatever way suits you.
- Accept the challenge privately and have a great time in your wardrobe.
- Accept the challenge publicly, by joining my Facebook event (click here).

- Share your progress with me on Twitter (click here) Using the hashtag #30in30
Because this challenge is aimed at providing you with more confidence in your wardrobe and lots of outfit ideas, why not take a photo of yourself each day. This will serve as a great reminder of outfits next time you are stuck for what to wear.
I would LOVE you to share your outfit photos with me (note, they may end up here on my blog)
My advice:
- be creative
- be bold
- have fun
If you happen to see someone sitting across the street looking suspicious with binoculars and a camera, it may or may not be me!
Love this idea!! I have SOOOO many clothes but I have a feeling this will be harder than I think!
ReplyDeleteAgree - I've already done some research in my wardrobe and the temptation to pull out the old faves that I love will be strong!
