How do you feel about your bum? If you love it (and you should), wrap it in fairy lights, glitter and sparkles and show it off! If not, try these simple techniques to make the most of your shape and flatter your behind.
1. Dresses Skirts
A hip skimming A-line dress or skirt will always flatter your bottom as it will gently fall over your hips. Avoid clingy fabrics too such as jersey as this will cling to all the wrong places.
Shows off shape Skims over bottom
2. Jeans
Dark wash jeans in a medium rise with great pockets will flatter your bum the most. Avoid high waisted jeans, these will visually increase the size of your bum and make it appear longer and wider. Don't wear jeans or pants that are too baggy, it will look like your bum is melting into your thighs. Try straight cut jeans, or boot cut if you are pear shaped.
Regardless of the size of your bottom, jeans that fit snug will flatter your best asset
Tops, jackets or coats that cover your bum and finish around the top of your thighs may make you feel better, but they actually make your bum look bigger as they add bulk to your whole frame. Tops and jackets that finish at the point where your bum begins to curve outward is the most flattering length (around your hip area). This length will also hide any muffin top that may be lurking underneath.
Too bulky Too Long Just right
If you really have your mind set on covering up your bottom, fitted coats to the knee are the best option as they add a long lean look.
My most important tip is to not get too obsessed with trying to cover up your behind! Always aim to flatter what you have rather than cover it up!!
