RMIT GRADUATE SHOW - MSFW

The last runway show at Melbourne Spring Fashion week was of course the most exciting for me as it showcased fourth year RMIT fashion students.  These emerging designers are the hot ticket of the week, and were supported by a very enthusiastic and vocal crowd.

It is so nice to see designers unleash pure creativity, before they succumb to the pressures of producing commercially viable collections.   Whilst the talent in the room was immense, here are just a few of my personal favourites.  Being a tactile person, my personal favourites all have a certain touch-ability about them.

JOHN CORDIANO
Not only was the detailing beautiful on Jon's work, but the colour palette accentuated the natural materials and unique fabrication of his collection.

CAROLINA BURUA
This collection was full of fun, amazing texture, volume and colour, with a little bit of victorian milk maid thrown in for good measure.  Anyone that incorporates sexy pantaloons in a collection has my vote!

STEPHANIE McPHERSON
This collection was one of the most store ready in my opinion.  Completely wearable and well executed, this collection would not be out of place in some of Melbourne's fabulous boutiques.

Can't wait to see how their collections evolve over the coming years.
