I don't have a phobia, in fact I kind of dig snakes. It wasn't a scary dream, they were just hanging out, being all snakey.
I did consider searching for the meaning behind snakes in dreams, but the reason seemed pretty clear to me ... fashion!
My dream was telling me to buy some fashion items in snakeskin print. Yes it was.
Normally I am not a fan of animal print, preferring the print to be on the actual live animal, but snake skin prints have memorised me. (I think those snake charmer guys are onto something). Naturally I would never purchase anything made from 'real' snakeskin, but synthetic or print is just perfect.
The only things I currently own in snake print are a clutch (picked up from Witchery on sale) and a few meters of python print fabric which I hope to fashion into a dress of some description It will either be a fantastic success or turn into a rag on the floor. Here's hoping it's the former.
I think I also need to get me a pair of snakeskin print shoes. I really like this deep green colour and am seriously contemplating the Gucci ones from Net-a-Porter, but that will depend on how hungry I am this month.
You may be forgiven for feeling like you have just stepped through a vortex into a bad 80's drama, however rarely would you wear snake print head to toe. Just a splash here and there will do nicely.
Oh, and don't dismiss it before you try it. I have a client who hated it off, and loved it on. It looked fabulous on her! (You know who you are)!
