I have my ranty pants on about the subject of perfection.
The terms perfection or flawless, should only be used
to describe such things as cushion placement, garment construction, bus routes,
conversations, and shower curtains, but should never ever be used to describe
anything organic … such as humans.
Why is it that anyone who strives for perfection only succeeds in looking imperfect and unrealistic?
The same goes for photography. This uber perfect image looks absolutely lovely, however I suspect that if I were there at the time this was shot, the scene would be great, but not so ... brilliant.
Before I continue, may I state for the record that I am not against cosmetic surgery and I am not against photoshop or post photographic production. If that is what you like and choose to do, that's fine with me.
My personal choice however, to look at something a little more natural, or as close to real as possible.
Like these lovely ladies ...
There will always be someone slimmer, prettier, younger, smarter or richer than you. So you can choose to spend your life trying to be something you are not, or you cold calm the hell down and be satisfied in the knowledge that there is only one of you in the world.
It’s the collective imperfections of humans that make us all
perfect.
Perfection is flawed.
Flawed is perfect.
Flawed is perfect.
