I was fortunate enough to be one of the photographers for the event, so rather than write a blog about how fabulous the collection was (which it most certainly was by the way), I thought I'd focus on, and pay homage to all the people who work behind the scenes to create such an event.
Firstly the designer. I visited Matcho in his studio in the week leading up to the event.
Designer's studios are everything you'd imagine they'd be. Filled with fabrics, sketches, mood boards, mannequins and of course beautiful designs in various stages of completion. Matcho was super organised with only a few final touches required before the launch. He was also understandably excited.
If you met Matcho, you would immediately want to buy his collection! He has such a warm, kind and sweet spirit.
On the day of the launch, the venue was abuzz with teams going about their business to get the show on the road. Matcho was calmly moving between groups, answering questions and overseeing the preparations.
