... pity I didn't come home with a fat pig!
I spent my Sunday at Take 2 Market selling a heap of clothes that I no longer wear. I've sold things on eBay loads of times, but never actually taken my clothes to a market. I know plenty of people who have sold clothes at Camberwell market, and after hearing stories of having to arrive before dawn, and being harassed as you unpack, had turned me off markets altogether. That is until I met Rina from Take 2 Markets at a fashion event. She convinced me to give her boutique styled recycled fashion market a go.
I am very pleased I took Rina up on her suggestion. The entire event was extremely well organised and executed. You arrived, your name was ticked off and you were directed to your very own personal space, complete with table and chair. Everyone had plenty of room without being crammed together, plus the events are always held indoors! Very civilized!
I had two full racks of clothing, a table full of jeans, shoes and bags - and I'm happy to report that I sold about 2/3 of what I had taken. I deposited some items in the charity bin provided and skipped home with just a few items - and some nice cash in my pocket too!
So if you are thinking of making some money from your no longer needed clothing, I can highly recommend Take 2 Markets. Thanks Rina for a very well organised and enjoyable event.
This sounds like a great idea, I should definitely do this, my wardrobe needs some room

It was well worth it Sleekit - but with my wardrobe it was a bit like taking your finger out of a bucket of water ... you can't even see a dent!
