Colour Inspiration: Bus Stop

No doubt you have, on more than one occasion, stood gazing at your wardrobe wondering what on earth you are going to wear.  A short time later, you emerge from the house, fully clothed, with the only evidence of your frustration being a pile of discarded clothing on the bed.  Or floor.  Or both.

In my experience. much of our hesitation and confusion about what to wear comes from choosing colours that work together.  *insert nodding in agreement here*

Sometimes colour inspiration can come from the most unusual places.  While I was driving the other day, stuck behind a bus, again, the bus stop sign caught my eye.  It got me thinking about the colour palette and how great it would look as an ensemble.  No need to imagine, I've put some examples together for you.  Voila ... introducing bus stop fashion!

Pants: Gorman          Knit: Witchery          Top: Barkins
Belt: Witchery          Shoes: Habbot          Bag: Mimco

Jeans: Country Road        Top: Dotti        Cardigan: Elk Accessories
Shoes: Nine West        Ring & Bag: Witchery

Top: French Connection        Belt: Witchery        Earrings: Sussan
Shoes & Bag: Tony Bianco        Skirt: Jayson Brunsdon

The only danger I see to wearing bus stop fashion, is that people may queue behind you!

Don't just limit your inspiration to bus stops.  All the signage, advertising and everyday objects that you encounter can provide you with inspiration for your next outfit.
Should you do this, I would LOVE to hear all about it.  Leave a comment or send me an email.

  1. Oh I love orange and grey, I take inspiration for colour combinations from everything and anything around me including bus stops! Nature in particular; flowers, birds etc, mother nature is the best colour mixer
